| Brief Description |
DD 5-SSIPA can be used as the third monomer to produce amine-free water dispersible polyester and nylon. This is the contribution of the sodiosulfo group in 5-SSIPA providing the ionic character needed for water dispersibility.
It is also able to be used to prepare polyurethane dispersions for various coating applications. Since 5-SSIPA is an aromatic diacid stucture, its aromatic ring affords excellent hardness and high gloss properties to coating films. |
